FoxRadar (Gen 3) is a radar-based level sensor designed for non-contact measurement through plastic and fiberglass tank walls. It is optimised for UCO (Used Cooking Oil) container fleets — enabling remote level visibility without product contact, supporting structured collection planning across distributed container operations.

Limitations
- Max measurement range: 200 cm
- Not suitable for metal through-wall measurement
- Deep tanks beyond radar range may require pressure-based sensing
When to Use a Different Sensor
FoxRadar (Gen 3) is not suitable for all tank types. Consider an alternative when:
- Tank depth exceeds 200 cm (→ use FoxRadar Gen 4)
- Tank material is metal — through-wall radar measurement is not possible
- Tank geometry is complex or obstructed, requiring probe-based sensing (→ use FoxPressure Gen 4)
- Industrial durability or a wider measurement range is required (→ use FoxRadar Gen 4)
Role Within the FoxInsights System
FoxRadar (Gen 3) provides level data as time-series input into the FoxInsights intelligence layer. Monitoring is the sensing layer. Forecasting and refill timing remain platform-layer capabilities.
