No more blind spots in complex or constrained tanks.

FoxPressure Gen 4 uses hydrostatic pressure sensing to cover deep, narrow, and geometrically complex tanks where radar cannot deliver stable readings — extending your planning data to every tank in the network.

Built for distributors operating tanks where radar measurement is not feasible.

FoxPressure Gen 4 — hydrostatic pressure level sensor

Hydrostatic Monitoring for Demanding Tank Environments

FoxPressure (Gen 4) is a hydrostatic pressure-based level sensor for deep, narrow, or geometrically constrained tank installations. It is used where radar-based sensing cannot deliver stable, reliable readings — enabling accurate level data in tanks that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to monitor.

It integrates into FoxPortal to support consumption-based forecasting, refill planning, and portfolio-wide visibility.

Core Capabilities

Measurement & Hardware

  • Accurate level data from tanks that would otherwise be invisible — deep, narrow, or geometrically constrained
  • Hydrostatic pressure measurement works regardless of tank shape, internal obstructions, or line-of-sight
  • Stainless steel probe rated for long-term submersion in industrial liquids — IP68 throughout
  • Weatherproof housing for demanding outdoor and underground installations
  • On-device display for instant on-site level checks without opening the app

Connectivity & Power

  • Multi-network connectivity adapts to any site infrastructure — NB-IoT, LTE-M, 2G, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth
  • Integrated eSIM eliminates SIM card logistics across large fleets
  • Long battery life even in hard-to-access or underground locations
  • 5 m probe cable reaches the base of most heating oil and diesel tanks

Where FoxPressure Gen 4 Fits

FoxPressure Gen 4 is the right choice when tank geometry or installation conditions prevent reliable radar measurement.

  • T-piece installations — radar produces erratic or incorrect readings in this configuration
  • Deep or narrow tanks where radar line-of-sight is not achievable
  • Tanks with internal cross-bracing, edges, or obstructions
  • Underground fuel storage with constrained or angled access
  • Heating oil tanks with complex internal geometry
  • Industrial fluid storage where mounting constraints prevent radar use

Industry applications: Heating Oil · Diesel · Lubricants

Ideal Use Cases

  • Heating oil and diesel tanks with complex geometry, T-piece connections, or deep profiles
  • Underground tanks and sites with constrained or angled access openings
  • Installations where radar cannot deliver stable, reliable readings
  • Distributor portfolios requiring complete tank coverage across all tank types

Deployment Requirements

  • Requires a suitable threaded opening or compatible adapter for probe insertion
  • Standard probe covers approximately 3.5 m depth for heating oil and diesel (0–300 mbar)

When to Use a Different Sensor

FoxPressure Gen 4 is not the default sensing option. Consider an alternative when:

  • Radar measurement is stable and feasible for the tank type (→ use FoxRadar Gen 4)
  • No suitable threaded opening exists for probe insertion
  • Installation constraints favour fully contactless measurement
  • The environment requires ATEX/IECEx certified hardware (→ use Pressure EX)

Role Within the FoxInsights System

  • Accurate level data from complex and constrained tank installations
  • Data transmission to FoxPortal for consumption analysis
  • Full inclusion of difficult tanks in consumption-based forecasting
  • Reliable planning input across all tank types — not just standard ones

Execution remains with your operations team.

Integrated with FoxPortal

  • Portfolio-wide visibility including complex and constrained tanks
  • Consumption-based forecasting with complete tank coverage
  • Structured refill planning without monitoring gaps
